This design build project was created to add extra working space to a 1,000 S.F home. Rather than adding an addition to the Pre-war cottage this backyard shed building became a separate entity giving separation live/work space accessed down the garden path. The orientation is designed for the extreme Texan climate. North facing with tree shade, any heat gain rises up into the shed roof. Used as an art studio the lighting is distributed with windows on 3 sides with supporting light bouncing off the ceiling with flood fixtures.
