A sweeping white granite and concrete paver driveway bordered by a lush green lawn and masses of low plantings lead up to the residence. The cherry trees were transplanted from the previous landscape.

These massive Japanese Zelkova trees were installed using a crane. It was important to the homeowner to have mature trees in the landscape. The trees define the entry as you approach the residence.

A lush border planting using flowering shrubs and perennials. Hydrangea, ligularia, astilbe, blackeyed susan, magnolia and spruce fill out the periphery planting.

Along the road as you approach the driveway's entry. Lacecap hydrangea and large hosta with daylily soften the edge of the property and create a soft buffer.

Large evergreen trees screen the important parts of the yard while lower plantings towards the rear of the property keep the view to the water open.

Looking out from atop the second floor balcony. A beautiful view of the dock and water. The planting along the water had to be native and approved by the DEC (Department of Environmental Conservation).

Designed by the architect, this infinity edge pool also has a wet edge; the water runs level up to the patio. We kept the plantings low along the water to have an unimpeded view from the pool area.

These large boulders make up a natural bulkhead for the waterfront. Native plantings retain the slope and also conceal a fence to keep the property secure but views open.
