The owners wanted to expand and renovate a small lakefront cottage to accommodate family gatherings and remote work. Although the shell of the existing structure was in good shape, the proposed design required the interior stair and fireplace to be removed. "You've got to break eggs to make an omelet," the architect advised. The owners agreed and are very happy with the dish!
