The young bi-racial family asked us for a warm, open decor reflecting their Indian heritage, and we provided it in a unique way..

It was a challenge finding furniture/furnishings that were Indian, but not overly Indian. We settled for reclaimed (reused) wood from India and China, which was minimally finished. It was by Anthropologie, which was very affordable for this young family.

We have created little pockets of usable and beautiful space around the family's habits:
- the blue quilted leather sofa for hanging out along with the cat
- the long country dining table for meals and homework/office work
- the blue hammock in the balcony for meditation
- the full length silver mirror to let light in to the dark bedroom
