Open plan island kitchen diner

This open space looked very different before we started, it was 2 separate very long rooms, one narrow kitchen and one narrow lounge, and what was a shame was neither of the windows / views were being enjoyed from within. Once the CAD drawings were presented, there was no turning back, they say we gave them the gift of light.

2 beams were inserted to create one huge space, pan drawers were fitted wherever possible for the ease of accesible storage

From 2 separate rooms; to one huge room, the island takes centre stage with induction hob and sink

The Fridge & Freezer were hidden in these appliance housings to appear like an armoire, drinks making, washing fresh foods and chopping and onto the hob were deliberatey considered in the planning

The island was double depth and provided oodles of space for every imaginable function - makes a good buffet table for parties too

The drinks bar was a jolly nice way to greet their visitors as they came through the door, wine cooler for chilled wine, any one for a gin?

This was the clients old kitchen, a tight galley style kitchen

this was the lounge, obviously had been extended a number of years ago, but the sitting area was centred in front of the fire, so not taking advantage of the light those sliding doors had to offer
