The built-ins we carried all the way up to the ceiling. We lightened up the space by painting the cherry cabinets white. The new shelves are in natural white oak to contrast the white built-ins.

In the laundry, we gave the bases a fresh coat of black paint, and updated to gold handles. The existing laminate tops were replaced with new laminate tops in a fresh new pattern. We also added a bar for hanging clothes.
