Our home at Mt Gateway
These are photos of our home in Peyton, Colorado. My husband and four mini-dachshunds (the sausage brigade!) lived here from 2010-2012.
We fell in love with the high celings and open space in the great room: its unique finishes, from the ceiling-height/stone fireplace, to the faux-painting, to the custom window treatments. We took advantage of the architectural "bones" of the entire home and saw it as a palette to express our love for bold colors, patterns, fine finishes, and fabrics.
The challenge was to make the grand 4,450 square-foot space feel cozy, warm, and inviting. It was the pefect place to entertain, to have guests come for their own weekend "retreat," and to give our puppies a save haven where they could play and run around..
I hope these photos capture the work we did to express our taste and lifestyle.
