Clients were looking to modify an existing fragmented backyard with unusable deck space to a more homogeneous scheme allowing better space flow and hence effective use of it.
They were looking for outdoor cooking and entertaining solutions in their linear space.
The outdoor kitchen became the most critical requirement. After researching various shapes and sizes of standard outdoor kitchens we fine tuned the design which allowed us to locate a relatively large footprint of the kitchen in their yard.
We opted out of level changes to integrate the space and used homogeneous colors on the walls and paved area to make it look more spacious.
We built wall details that also served as seating areas and minimized the furniture requirements for larger gatherings.
