This outdoor dining set is a spectacular nautical themed piece for a breath taking diamond shaped deck overhanging Lake Michigan. The table top represents various boat sails that can be observed on the lake while dining. The combination of teak and Ipe give a subtle contrast that defines the sail shapes. The klismo style chairs compliment the design while mimicking some of the shapes in the top. The base breaks down in order to store the set over the winter months. I had an opportunity to design this piece while staying on the banks of Oslo Fjord in Nessoden watching the increadible ships go by.
