The Owners of this incredible 18,000 sq foot property in the Marbella Estates of San Juan Capistrano, CA wanted their office floor painted as if it were true wood inlay, or marquetry inlay wood. We said Yes.

This project was a 2 to 3 week endeavor including front-end planning. We used alcohol-based wood stains and intricate flat-lined taping to create the look of true inlay. This was all performed over a freshly installed untreated maple floor. I hired a floor professional to treat this surface with proper sanding, cleaning and sealants prior to our artwork. After everything was complete, the floor guy came back and sealed as any wood flooring for a long lasting, durable finish. The curiosity that this was actually hand-painted artwork created a very special feeling of fine quality art coupled with passionate delivery in this room. An excellent foundation for the high levels of work and profitability created in this home office by it's happy occupants.
