Parkhill Modern Farmhouse
The homeowner wanted a brighter, more open-feeling home with a fresh kitchen and master bathroom, as well as overall improvement to the sense of light and space.
Kitchen Remodel:
- Replaced dark finishes with off-white Shaker cabinets, a glossy bone-colored ceramic tile backsplash, and creamy quartz countertops for a light, neutral backdrop.
- Added modern black island pendants and black cabinet pulls for contrast and visual interest.
- Selected the perfect blue for the island cabinets to complement the blue tones in the fireplace stone.
- Developed a new layered lighting plan, including LED pendants over the island and under-counter lighting, providing both general, task, and accent lighting to improve visibility and functionality.
Master Bathroom Remodel:
- Created a bright, soothing oasis with off-white subway tiles, a warm wood vanity, and river rock pebble flooring in the shower.
- Focused on monochromatic neutral finishes to reflect light and enhance the sense of spaciousness.
Overall Home Transformation:
By incorporating light neutral finishes and a cohesive monochromatic paint palette, the interior spaces feel visually larger without removing walls. The final design balances modern clean lines, warm natural textures, and contrasting accents, achieving a refined country aesthetic that is beautiful, functional, and comfortable.
