A parrilla (origin: Argentina) is a cooking grill whose grilling surface is raised or lowered over an open fire. This project in Cincinnati, Ohio converted an original 1910 carriage house into an entertainment kitchen and dining space featuring a new parrilla grill / fireplace.

The finished project includes a new oak bead board ceiling, oak cabinetry and tile flooring. The original glazed and badly weathered interior brick wall surfaces were sandblasted and painted. The original carriage doors were stripped, painted and re-glazed. They sit open in good weather to expand the entertainment space into the adjacent motor court. New painted electrical conduit echoes the black finishes of lighting fixtures and fans.
