This project consisted of modernizing a Japanese Garden for a Craftsman home.

Walkways were framed with Iceberg Roses and New Hydrangeas, Azaleas, Ferns frame the house.

Swimming pool was done in a light plaster and pewter colored concrete to lighten up garden and give it a more modern touch.

This property had two beautiful Oak trees we worked around. The New pool house bathroom and spa as well as deck were designed around the existing Oak tree

The built in barbeque was done in a stacked stone to complement the colors of the house and garden. Large vases were placed around property as focal points.

Before the remodel the pool equipment was located behind the Oak tree. It is now hidden behind this pool house. The new deck and spa give life to an area that was an unsightly view of maintenance equipment and grass that had longed to be replaced

New spa with cantilevering steps and glass tile complements the pool house bathroom and deck. These raised areas allowed the roots of the Oak tree to be unharmed and concealed.

This modern spa has an infinity edge waterfall that was done in a glass mosaic. We wanted to bring a bit of color into the design, but still keep it subtle.

The walls of the bathroom were done in a Venetian plaster reminiscent of the sky. A large garden window creates an indoor outdoor feeling, while the mixture of marble, clay, glass and stone tiles gives the bathroom an earth layered texture.

This large garden window will soon be a lush picturesque view. Fast growing plant materials were used in this area.

Although this was a small pool house bathroom we still wanted it to have a luxurious feeling . This was achieved by mixing classic and modern fixtures as well as materials.

Bamboo and agapanthus lining the back of the property starts to lead the eye to the pond which is another focal point of this garden

New planting was placed in the cutout around the oak as well as light colored rocks to enhance the new lighter feel of this garden.

We created a Japanese like pond setting for meditation. This corner previously consisted of an abandoned veggie garden.

This property had many dark areas were nothing would grow. this side of the house was mostly dirt before we replaced it with a garden path and patio. We framed this area with shade friendly plants to create a lush feeling.

This walkway was done in a pewter colored concrete with a release color and stamp to resemble the feeling of large pieces of stone.

Vases were placed thru out the garden to add visual interest and lead the eye to different focal areas.

Aquatics plants were placed in and around pond. We used tropical ginger , Alocacia, maiden hair ferns just to name a few.

The large flat stones give this water fall the visual effect and tranquil sound we wanted to create in this garden. Water is flowing in all corners of this property.
