A beautiful Pebble Beach getaway home. We used a beautiful LaCornue range hand made from France with custom chosen finishes and colors. Her husband saw a program on TV “How things are made” and appreciated the integrity and craftsmanship of this very high end amazing cooking creation. The cabinetry is a beautifully painted, distressed and patina HDF (high density fiberboard). We use MDF (medium density) and HDF (high density) fiberboard to avoid the hair line cracks of painted wood surfaces; distressing and creating a patina to make these cabinets feel and look like furniture is our pleasure...but these will stand up to the wear and tear of daily living and look like new for many, many, years to come - these finishes are baked and go through a intense application and curing process. The cabinets are flush inset with a single bead around the frame, allowing the finial hinges to add to the furniture look. Adding counter cabinetry to the left and right of her LaCornue range and Dacor inset liner nestled within the custom created hood cover, allowed the space to embrace the elegance of her furniture feeling kitchen completely open to all living areas of the home. Spekva Wood Tops provided the extra large Zebrano wood island with an under-mounted sink nestled into the corner for prepping. Her Rohl (Shaws) apron style sink, centered on her leaded glass window, was nestled between her Miele fully integrated dishwasher. Tucked off to the side but in the perfect location for refrigeration storage was her Sub-Zero fully integrated refrigerator along with her Viking single wall oven. The floors were hand tool sculpted walnut wide planked; her counters were natural Jerusalem Taupe limestone slabs with limestone tile backsplashes.
