The gazebo/pergola in the background was built using rough cut hemlock. I let it air dry for a couple weeks and then used a solid stain on everything.
The arched pergola in the foreground was built using salvaged roof trusses to an old outbuilding that was being torn down. I mounted them to posts that were in the ground and used 2 x 2 purlins to create the pergola top. It has a forsythia bush climbing on it as I write.
