Perron Residence
Architect Jeff Bague designed this classic Cape Cod Cottage on a long challenging lot that runs along the top of a bank near Bishop’s Peak in San Luis Obispo, California. The project included a large custom home with two detached guest cottages, both complete with full bath and fireplaces. This house was a labor of love from a son to his mother who supported him as became a successful entrepreneur. The house was completely landscaped, furnished and decorated when he handed his mother the keys to her new home. One of the key features of the house is the large curved porch off of the Living room and Dining room. Lined with French doors, it has an expansive view of the entire downtown area nestled in between rolling green hills. The ceiling features a vaulted ceiling with a custom “V” groove wood finish creating a sensuous curve like the hull of a wood boat with a large stone two sided fireplace dividing the two rooms.
