Perna knew from the onset that creating a welcoming interior that could sustain an essence of warmth, although it would go unused for months at a time, hinged on his ability to incorporate the character of his client into the design. Perna says, “My ability to access my innermost creativity and process it through my intellect allows me to create design concepts that express my client’s needs and desires with authenticity.” The space features a fusion of contemporary clean lines, numerous custom design furniture pieces, custom milling and elements of unexpected texture, color, scale, rhythm and pattern. Perna, known for his ability to integrate art as a cohesive compositional aspect of his interior designs, utilized fine artists, whose work he passionately introduced to his clients, to finalize the interior.
