The home uses hydronic radiant floor Heat supplied by a Geothermal heat system, energy effecient windows and high insulation, and a rain garden to collect and disperse rain water from the roof. Also, a metal roof and fiber cement siding and shingles for a traditional appearance but with low maintenance.

High clerestory windows provides natural light and ventilation into the center of the home on those gray seattle days.

There is a breezeway that separates the living area from the home office, making the office physically and emotionally detached from the home.
