Project Maple Lane
When our clients purchased their Maple Lane home, it was the location that drew them in—nestled near trails, schools, and the heart of Unionville. Over time, a series of past renovations had left the interior feeling disjointed, with limited storage and a layout that no longer supported their day-to-day life.
Our role was to reimagine both the main and second floors to create a more cohesive, functional, and light-filled home. Working alongside a feng shui master, we developed a new layout guided by principles of balance, flow, and individual wellbeing, ensuring each space supported how the family lives and moves through the home.
The kitchen was fully reconfigured to become the heart of the house—now open to the dining and family areas, anchored by a generous island designed for gathering. Enlarged dining windows introduce southern light and frame views of the garden, while integrated storage solutions throughout the main floor improve daily functionality. A custom mud hall was added to support the family’s routines, along with a discreet home office concealed within millwork to remain visually calm when not in use.
Upstairs, the layout was carefully reworked to create a more generous primary suite with a new dressing area and ensuite, a Jack-and-Jill bathroom for the children’s rooms, and a dedicated guest bedroom. A relocated laundry closet, hidden behind bifold doors, was designed for easy access while maintaining a clean visual profile.
Material selections throughout the home reflect a warm, contemporary sensibility—layered wood tones, soft neutrals, and refined detailing come together to create a space that feels grounded, intentional, and enduring.
