Provencal Mas

A newly built Provencal Mas inspired house that could be straight out of the Luberon in southern France. The exterior is typical of a remodeled French southern farm house and the interiors typical of the Luberon farm houses that have a mix of rustic country with modern design elements and bathrooms. The landscaping was in the process of being installed, to the photography had to emphasize the structure and minimize either the baby new plantings and the extent of mulch or just local weeds.

Since the front landscaping had been installed the day before the shoot and consisted of starter plants, I used a long lens to compact the perspective and give the fledgling plants a chance show a bit of green and minimize the vast expanses of brown mulch.
