Sailing down the Hall

This small room just off the upstairs staircase was lacking personality. Located just off the upstairs landing in a 1920's home, the ceiling was visible from the first floor. I installed wallpaper and a small traditional chandelier. The homeowners wanted to keep the home traditional.

This small space now comfortably seats two. We used a metal lily pad accent table in place of a traditional coffee table, also an art noveau nod to the home's 1920's roots. A hint of turquoise adds drama to the historic woodblock print on the pillow.
