This unique Home is constructed with traditional framing with Log Accents. Situated on 36 acres adjoining the National Forest, it is designed by Arapahoe Architects to maximize sweeping views of Lake Dillon and the entire Ten Mile Range. Every room has spectacular natural light from its Pella Windows, and incorporates a 17 foot wide La Cantina Bi-Fold Door that allows the entire great room to open to outdoor living spaces with unobstructed views.
Traditional Mountain Architectural features include Louisiana Cypress posts, Douglas Fir Trusses, Live Edge Beetle Pine counters and granite masonry from an Idaho Springs quarry.
The open floor plan encourages access to the kitchen with huge Coliseum Granite Island and Sonoma Tile hand-glazed backsplash. Custom Woodland Creek Hickory cabinets house two refrigerators and a High Efficiency Induction Cook top. Dog and kid friendly hard surface floors include Aequa Castor Plank Tile and Stained Concrete. To enhance the open feeling, there are custom Sun Mountain 8 foot tall knotty alder doors including several five foot wide sliding wide sliding barn doors.
The master wing includes a generous home office with custom Aspen Grove cabinetry, sizeable master closet, gas fireplace, balcony and bright airy master bath. The plumbing fixtures include German engineered Axor by Hansgrohe polished nickel faucets, Victoria & Albert free-standing tub and a spacious steam shower.
Custom Interior finishes & furniture, Designed by Mountain Log Homes & Interiors, add a hint of Industrial accents. Special attention was paid to lighting this home, including a handmade 7 foot long “wave bubble glass” linear dining fixture. Unexpected details like the “Windmill” ceiling fan, gear cocktail table, Vintage Iron based custom 10 foot dining table, and rebar stair balusters complete the effect.
