Counter top corner of solid surface material. Had intended to use the glass/stone tiles as a solid back splash but opted for this, less busy, application of four inches of counter material and the tile border in two inches.

This is the top to an antique dining hutch purchased at an estate sale. We added a board below with antique door knobs affixed. This is all the small entry needed - a temporary place for outdoor wear, some light and a homey greeting. The entry also has a coat closet for extra storage.

A small and cozy dining room. We added the paneling effect using MDF trim. The partial wall was added to separate from the entry and hall, but let window light in. Antique hutch provides china storage. The rest of the room is unadorned.

Two bedrooms were joined to create a master with a sitting area, with a peninsula fireplace serving as a divider. Sage green walls, sand flecked carpet and wicker create a natural and casual atmosphere.

The sitting area of the master bedroom features a sliding patio door out to a deck. The entire wall is draped. Stationary side panels flank sheers and blackout draperies (Alaskan summers).

The soaker tub is six feet, leaving an extra nine inches for these built-in niches for towels, bubble bath, etc. White subway tile and pebble stones backs.

This peninsula fireplace divides the master bedroom into a sleeping and a sitting area, but allows for an open feeling. The low height mantle is lit by a small eyeball light and is seen from the hall/main living area when the door is open.

This table is due to be refinished, but has served as a great eat-in/work table between the kitchen and living room. Since it gets lots of use and little maintenance, a rustic, farm table finish might suit.

This bar area was created from a counter height dining table cut in two. Nice place to store bar glasses, wine, collectibles.

A renovated guest bath with painted cabinets and tiled counters. Counter was extended over the toilet and shelves built in to side cabinet for extra storage. Walls are a pale gray, cabinets taupe, counters bisque and accent colors chocolate and blue-green with some black.

The small scale entry was finished with a partial wall separating it from the dining room and providing space for a table. A coat hanger was fashioned from the top of an antique hutch and some old door knobs. A bordered sisal rug draws the visitor into the home.

Powder room turned shower room. The side wall was removed and closet space claimed to create guest bath. The pony wall is topped by glass and the door way remains open.
