In 2021, a successful young entrepreneur bought his first home amid a sea of coastal suburban family homes. Inspired to repurpose the existing farmhouse into a modern hub for work and entertaining, he came to us with a very creative assignment: pluck the interior out of the sleepy suburbs and bring in a highly personal loft sensibility. Within just 5 months we curated a sophisticated, contemporary, one-of-a-kind home with his favorite shades of blues, blacks and grays, European furnishing and styling choices, custom statement pieces, and varied artworks to soothe and energize.

This Corona del Mar project was recently featured on the 48th Annual Corona del Mar Home Tour, in the company of 6 more traditional and soft-contemporary showcase homes. We were pleased with guest feedback noting how fun it must be to live there, and how refreshing it was to see such a decisive break from typical Newport Beach design. That was indeed the goal!
