This 1,700-pound quartz conference table was custom created by our team for a trading firm in downtown Chicago. The table itself is 16 feet in length and was created with two book-matched sections of quartz. Every individual slab of quartz is very distinct. Book matching takes two mirrored pieces and splices them together to create one seamless surface, like the pages of an open book. This process displays the natural beauty of the stone while also creating a statement. Under the quartz, our team created a unique aesthetic by adding a Walnut apron, which adds a nice contrast with the metal and quartz. Not only is this finished piece beautiful, but it is completely stable. In fact, the structure was custom created by our welders to support the exact load of quartz implemented. To finish this piece, we powder coated the structure to the customer’s specifications and office environment (metallic grey).
