Queen Anne Home Renovation

This turn of the century home was entirely gutted and a two story addition including a family room, kitchen and master bedroom suite was added. The result is a light, airy Queen Ann home that features stained oak wood flooring throughout and integrates original architectural elements whenever possible.

The open plan of this kitchen shows a connection to the family room and features a marble island and full tile backsplash with vintage cabinetry. Orange swivel chairs are positioned so that they can face the kitchen or the adjacent living room.

The main feature of this family room is the custom dark wood built storage and fireplace unit. The fireplace façade is made of herringbone glass mosaic tile in tones of blue/grey and cream. This bedroom was designed for a teenage boy and features built in custom bookshelves with a rolling library ladder. Custom linen flat roman shades with blackout lining cover both windows.
Ring Kaplan Residence
The spa bathroom, located on the attic floor, features a large freestanding soaking tub and infrared sauna. The custom vanity was stained to the match the sauna and has a marble countertop that coordinates with the large cream porcelain tile flooring.

This lower level music and game room has rustic engineered flooring. The light fixtures are made from recycled glass.
