The Barn is a 6,500 sq. ft. multi-purpose structure which is arranged in proximity to other residential buildings on a hilltop in Fayette County, Texas. The barn's daily use is as a garage with overflow sleeping quarters. Periodically, the overhead doors along the north & south faces can be raised and it transforms into an open-air dance hall complete with a stage, dance floor, mezzanine, lounge, and bar. Occupants can spill-out to the wrap-around porch or take in a sunset from the northern hillside. A shaded courtyard is created between the barn's eastern gable-end and the adjacent residence. Ample windows & the hilltop location afford panoramic view and a huge cupola floods the interior with diffuse natural light.
