Cyrus Artisan Rugs is proud to announce the Recycled Sari Silk collection for the new year. This is a rug set for silk enthusiasts with a soft spot for Mother Earth and unique vintage design. Artisans recycle the exquisite sari silk, and then, blend it with wool and cotton into various strands of yarn. Each strand reacts differently to natural dyes, creating a wonderful striated effect. Next, skilled weavers hand knot the strands into flatweaves similar to Dhurrie rugs but with a luster and depth of color only possible with silk.

For consumers who prefer pile rugs, one-of-a-kind rugs made of 100% hand-knotted pile from the recycled sari silk are also available.
