Originally a carriage house for a nearby residence, this home had a very tiny kitchen. Though it had some old fashioned charm, the kitchen was nonfunctional due to a lack of counter space. To increase its size, we removed the powder room on one side and took two feet out of the existing laundry/utility room on the other. We updated the existing hall bathrooms, making one a replacement for the powder room that was eliminated. New windows and a simplified color scheme helped to update the exterior.
