Renovated Rambler

A kitchen remodel in a 1970s ranch included taking down walls, expanding the kitchen into the 3 season porch, adding picture windows, creating arched entranceways, replacing the linoleum flooring with distressed oak hardwood and upgrading ceiling popcorn to a smooth finish. Cottage style window and door trims along with custom baseboard covers were created. Cabinets included glass fronts, shaker doors and two finishes.

Scope of Work: Remove all wallpaper, soffit over cabinets, add recessed lighting, find inches behind the refrigerator wall, remove wall into the dining room, replace all door trim with custom "cottage" treatment, add arched entrances, incorporate client's chandeliers.

Foyer needed to be larger and brighter. Removing the closet and adding glass double doors in addition to arching the entranceway created a softer, brighter welcome into the renovated space. Wood flooring added to the entire main floor unified the new areas.
