This home was designed with the kitchen and dining area as the primary interior space, with an adjacent conversation space that flowed out to an outdoor room surrounded by water. The exterior consists entirely of low maintenance, fire resistant, commercial grade materials. The interiors are rigorously and minimally detailed, but warm and light filled.
The building divides the land into a public zone on the west, exposed to harsh afternoon light. The interior spaces are filtered from this exposure, while in contrast, they open dramatically to the private eastern portion of the site to welcome in abundant morning light.
