This lovely model home is nestled in the mountains at Givens/Highland Farms Retirement Community in Black Mountain, North Carolina just east of Asheville. We were delighted to start the interior design with a clean slate. First we chose natural dove gray tones for the floors, wall color, and granite creating a soothing palette base. In choosing furniture, we kept in mind both the scale of the home and functionality required by prospective home owners. Aesthetically, we choose to mix reclaimed woods, concrete, and metals in both the furniture and the artwork to create a transitional feel. We finished with new lighting to complete the fresh and airy look that works perfectly in the surrounding setting and to appeal to a wide variety of retirees.
