Kitchen design to achieve maximum unique style on a limited budget. Basic, off-the-shelf carcasses and door fronts were embellished with unusual handles and a birch ply worktop to create a highly individual look, influenced by the TV series Mad Men. This kitchen is in a busy home and the occupants cook to a high standard every day, therefore the design had to be highly practical as well as very stylish. A genuine 50's freestanding bar unit was sourced and restored to compliment the design.
