The homeowners wanted a larger entertainment area in their backyard. Their existing wood deck was deteriorating, so they chose a composite deck. They wanted the same size deck, but to accommodate more people they wanted to step down to a lower brick paver patio. The existing hot tub was staying but they wanted to enlarge the area around it. They also wanted a built- in fire pit on the lower level with seating around it. Large oak trees surrounded the area, so plants had to be shade tolerant. The entire area came together for both family and entertaining.
