JOSE E TORRES

Riley Residence

This San Tan Residence, main focus was to expand an existing 8’ x 5 ‘ patio and creatively come up with ideas to enhance the yard to be used all year as a secondary outdoor living room. The expansion of the existing patio was creatively designed by an open and closed louver patio cover to control the intense sun and the amount of the light that would come in the patio. Gabion posts and benches were constructed to enhance the look of an original post and to function as an additional seating area. A secondary patio was created using a fire pit table for more intimate seating. Both patios and the sidewalk that are linked together were acid stained. The property wall was painted to contrast the shrubs when mature. A native plant flora was select to ensure the plants would survive in this particular area.
