The kitchen and sitting area of this lovely cottage homereceived an overhaul. The home is nestled on a treed lot with beautiful river views. We worked with Executive Woodworking and the homeowners to make a couple of small changes to the layout to improve the storage and flow. More storage was added with the addition of a countertop cabinet. The addition of a coffee bar between the kitchen and dining area is functional and attractive. Moving the fridge slightly and adjusting the penninsula improved the flow. The small pony wall separating the kitchen from the dining area was removed allowing the kitchen to expand slightly. It also opened up the space. A beautiful zellige tile backsplash adds a cottagy accent.
The sitting area is a cozy spot near the wood stove, perfect for sipping a morning coffee. The homeowners chose beautiful chairs from Valley Ridge Furniture to update the space. We also assisted the homeowners in choosing hardware, colours and various finishes and accessories to complete the space.
