An extensive remodel/addition to a production grade, speculative home built in 2005 on a small lot on lake Austin. The existing 4 bedroom, 4 bath, 3,200 square foot home received additions that brought it to 3,900 square feet, 5 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms. In addition, a luxury, walk-in pantry was created, an elevator was added and a swimming pool and deck round out the addition. The remodel goals were to bring in more natural light, elevate the finishes to luxury status, open up the floor plan, apply best practice for building envelope construction, energy efficiency, better and more useable outdoor living spaces, and make all spaces more accessible for age-in-place living.
