Remodel of a 1981 traditional colonial in Germantown, Tennessee, a suburb of Memphis, Tennessee. Transitional style with gray trim, linen walls, and a repurposed barn wood floor. (Original grasscloth on walls was kept and painted.) The sophisticated yet inviting space features several furniture items made by the homeowner/designer, including an antique door repurposed into a bookshelf, a wooden ladder used in a feature photo wall, a Pottery Barn style desk with a sawhorse base, and repainted/repurposed end tables used in place of a coffee table. Remodel included painting all walls and trim, replacing parquet flooring with luxury vinyl in a barn wood style, installing recessed lighting and new light fixtures.
