Here is day 2 of this project .. One thing to notice is how the main support posts are offset from the support post for the roof. The main beams are 5" 1/2 x 16" monster laminated beams that support both the deck and roof.

Here you can see the cathedral trusses for the covered roof, the roof portion of this deck is just an extension of the dining nook of the house you can see where the roof went right over the old bay for the nook.
