We completely transformed this existing basement by first removing almost everything. In doing so, we found out that all of the walls were bearing and major structural alterations were needed if we were going to continue with the new design. After new footings, columns and beams were installed, we could continue with the plans. A new recreational area featuring a linear gas fireplace, teal sliding door and custom cabinetry. Two bedrooms, a reading area, workout room, bathroom and wet bar make up the rest of the space. Some of the custom features are the teal sliding door built onsite, fir mantle integrated with the cabinetry that contain the media equipment and a reconstruct of the existing curved staircase to make it more current. The result is a fresh, updated space that is now cohesive with the rest of the house.
