We kept the beautiful mirror, and added accent tile installed vertically, a sleek wood mantle, and covered the hearth with an easy-to-clean tile. And it looks as if its floating.

This was the living room/music room before. A nice bay window and anchored by the piano, but not any seating space and little interest.

This is the new music room, almost completed. The entire home was painted Sherwin Williams Agreeable Gray and acted as our background neutral. We added these Modway red chairs, mid century table and a pharmacy lamp. But the big changer was the "wave" wallpaper!

This small kitchen was darkened by the center cabinet, which gave some storage space, but limited the line of sight to the potentially pretty far wall.
