The owner of this 1950's one story house with no back yard wanted usable outside space. The house occupies the entire lot, he only way to expand was up. So, I got busy and designed a rooftop deck with fully equipped kitchen, heaters and gardens. Walls were added for wind screening, always a concern on a roof.
All materials are water impervious and require very little maintenance.
