The clients wanted a cool space for entertaining friends and family. The sun room was not a place they used much and wanted to change that. I designed a space plan that was conducive to playing games (the coffee table was existing and it does telescope up). The function and size was perfect for backgammon (a family favorite), wine tastings paired with food. Plenty of seating for up to eight. The colors were based on a few of their favorite trips to the Napa Valley, mineral & earthy. A new space plan, comfortable and very chic furniture, fresh coat of paint on the walls and a colored ceiling unite the color story. The wood blinds were removed and replace with Hunter Douglas Screen shades so the view became the stunning backdrop. Framing the large windows with panels on jewel rods as a bit of softness and textural interest. I loved the collaboration on this project and one unique request was a game table cover in the pillow fabric. I just love it and how it all came together.
