This whole-house renovation had an emphasis on opening up the living spaces on the second floor to create one large space for living space and entertaining. BLOOM removed most walls and combined five rooms into one, yielding a bright open space with panoramic views of the neighborhood from front to back. A new sculptural stair in an was built in the center hall, creating new sightlines between floors, increasing sunlight and providing a vertical art gallery. The stair’s sinuous lines and dark grey and olive green colors stand in contrast to the surrounding rooms.

A new lofted main suite was created with an airy bathroom and his-and-hers walk-in-closets. The adult kids rooms were renovated for flexibility, billiard room was overhauled, artists studio in basement was upgraded and fitness equipment was moved to a new dedicated space on the first floor. Outside, BLOOM designed a new garage with electric charging, and exterior facade and landscape renovations to complete the transformation.
