Russian Hill Bachelorpad

This Russian Hill Bachelorpad in San Francisco was a complete remodel from top to bottom for a tech professional. Throughout the home custom furnishings were selected including commissioned artwork. New picture windows were put in to take in the sweeping views of the city, perfected with custom roller shades - light filtering and blackout, both hidden by trim. Even the private elevator room was included in the design, with personal photos, a custom cowhide stool and a lacquered entry table. This two bedroom home was completed with his entertaining needs in mind and his love of art.

The living room is contemporary in design but offers the comfort anyone would desire. Featuring a large picture window with beautiful city views at all times of day. A soffit hides the window covering options suitable for tv watching (blackout) or everyday use (light filtering).

The dining room is open to the living room and kitchen but is a beautiful focus of the home. The sideboard was custom to the client with the use of three different types of wood, hickory, pine and walnut.

This custom California cocktail table is a show stopper. Due to it's angles it's a reachable surface for all those seated on the sectional.

This home bar cart is from the 1940's and was found in a local boutique here in San Francisco. I love mixing old with new and creating conversation pieces throughout the home that are unique to the space.

This master bedroom retreat is a nod to the homeowners travels, the bed was purchased while vacationing in Indonesia and shipped to San Francisco. With the use of texture and a variety of lighting options it helped to create a space full of visual interest.

A tray helps to anchor the nightstands. Creating a organized and collected space. I brought in height to the space with the use of the twigs in a variety of colors and textures.

While this home received a complete renovation, we brought back the base and crown moldings, typically found in San Francisco homes. It was important to us to keep some of the orignial character in the home within the new design

Using sconces on dimmers in close proximity to the bed, the client never has to get out of bed to turn out the light. Leaving the nightstand's surface open for items such as; books, plants, frames, etc.

This is actually the elevator room that is dedicated to this client's home. We added personal photos to help make it feel part of the home. The custom high lacquered entry table provides an elegant sheen.
