Originally consisting of 2 flats, this 3 story building located on the North edge of San Francisco's Russian Hill neighborhood was completely gutted and remodeled, and converted into a single family home. The original enclosed stairwell was opened up to all floors, filing the house with a light and increasing a sense of connection. Mid-century modern elements, like the asymmetrical fireplace were retained in form, but updated with more elegant finishes.
