The original kitchen had a drop ceiling and was shut off from the rest of the space.There was very little natural light

The dropped ceiling and over proportioned furnature overwhelmed the space. The main area was very dark

40% of the beautiful centrepiece of the cottage was hidden in the attic space. We were unable to catch the tremendous amount of sunlight that was available.
