Scottsdale Ranch Tranquility

This second home in North Scottsdale is the perfect spa get away! White painted walls provide a crisp surround for the natural glass tile accent color that is found throughout the house. This project consisted of new cork floorin throughout, new furniture and window treatments as well as a complete overhaul of the kitchen and master bathroom.

Beige, spa blue and white are all anchored by the warm cork floor. The space is very calming indeed!

A custom table made from Kirei is the piste de' resistance of the kitchen eating area. You can almost still smell the sugar cane!

The island was put on legs to create a more spacious feeling in the kitchen and upper cabinets were limited in use and light in material to add to this illusion. Plus the owner is only 4'11", so any space above that wasn't functional for her.

This was the first floating vanity we did- you never use the top 12" of sink cabinets, so why not raise them. The hardware on the door was selected to double as a towel bar. The mirrors were etched in a pattern that "mirrors" the leg of the limestone counter. And then there's the glass vanity that...

Here's a close up of the glass vanity top. This was a very challenging feat of precision execution by multiple trades-people. The vanity cabinet actually slides up (instead of sweeping across the surface) to reveal the necessities of vanity. Rats- I should have taken a picture of it open.

The wall opposite the vanity sported a linen closet, flanked by two closet doors- all functional, so why not make them fabulous! The frosted glass adds some refectivity that adds even more light into this bathroom.
