On this project the wall between the Dining Room and Kitchen was taken down.
2 ¼ inch Oak Hardwood Flooring was installed in the dining room side; then the flooring in both rooms was sanded and finished to a rich brown color. This rich brown color is telegraphed in the oil-rubbed finish of the faucet and cabinet hardware, as well as the backsplash grout. An island was eliminated to allow room in the center of the kitchen for a wheel-chair bound family member to move through the kitchen.
