The home's previous style was mostly art deco which I softened with more modern and contemporary pieces, including velvet accent chairs, boucle bench draped is a sheepskin, Chesterfield sofa, various tables and accessories. Removing the curtains in the living and dining room was a key element and updated the feel of spaces. In the bedroom I replaced a set of ornate mirrored side tables and dresser with a streamlined RH bed and side tables, wool rug, and a splash of decadence with the velvet tufted chaise! The oil painting of the horse by Ursula Dodge is hung unframed with farrier nails directly into the wall. This raw edge, leather stools and pops of rust gives the room a vibe that would otherwise not be there. The home owner, who's favorite color is turquoise, trusted my vision and was a delight to work with!
